This movie is one of the best movie ever made.And one of the best foreign movies i have ever watched.Movie was released in 1995 mainly in Serbian language.This award winning movie has dialogues in German and English too.It is also known by the subtitle 'Once Upon a Time There Was a Country'.
The film uses the epic story of two friends to portray and satirize the history of Yugoslavia since the Second World War.The plot is presented through three parts: War, Cold War, and War.One of the friend who a black marketeer who smuggles the weapons to partisans doesn't mention to the workers that the war is over, and they keep producing it underground.You should watch the movie to know what happens after that.
The theatrical version is 163 minutes long.But inn interviews, director Kusturica stated that his original version ran for over 320 minutes, and that he was forced to cut it by co-producers.This is a must watch movie for every movie lover.So don't miss it.
